Background & Purpose of the Job

The ongoing global pandemic has only intensified these challenges, and we need to ensure that people everywhere can still get essential goods delivered swiftly to their homes.
Our customer base is diverse, and we face questions like: How do we reach people who don’t speak English when over 7,000 languages are spoken worldwide? How do we address the unique shopping behaviors of customers in different regions and cultures?
To meet these challenges, we’re looking for an entrepreneurial, innovative, and accomplished UX Designer who can help elevate and differentiate our customer experience. This individual will be responsible for designing visually compelling, user-friendly, and impactful shopping experiences that enhance customer satisfaction and drive engagement.
The role demands a deep understanding of user experience (UX) and visual design, with a particular focus on leading the creation of intuitive, beautiful shopping experiences. As part of a dynamic agile development team, you will leverage customer passion and insights to improve the shopping journey across new Kallos footprint countries. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of e-commerce by balancing visionary, high-level concepts with meticulous, detail-oriented execution.
Who You Are & What You’ll Do
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Creating high-quality creative products: Deliver outstanding design solutions that meet the highest standards, ensuring an optimal user experience for our diverse customer base. Advocate for the customer by providing strategic design leadership that aligns design, content, business, and marketing values.

Collaborating with internal teams: Work with a wide range of internal stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and marketers, to ensure that the customer experience aligns with business goals in an inspiring, engaging way. Help define feature requirements using empirical data, usability findings, and market research to inform design decisions.

Defining the future of fashion-buying experiences: Provide thought leadership in shaping both short- and long-term design visions for fashion-related purchasing experiences. You'll be responsible for developing wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interaction behaviors to communicate complex design strategies clearly.

Navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment: The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, able to learn quickly, and thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will take a hands-on approach to solving creative and analytical challenges while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, technical writing, graphic design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area.

2+ years of experience in the field of UX design, retail, or a similar industry, with a proven ability to create exceptional customer experiences.

A customer-obsessed mindset with a passion for designing innovative, engaging experiences in the digital space. You should be driven by the desire to solve customer pain points and push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Strong conceptual and creative development skills, along with an excellent sense of design sensibility. You should bring fresh, creative ideas and be eager to experiment and innovate in a constantly evolving field.

Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment: The role requires someone who can manage multiple projects at various stages, under tight deadlines, without compromising on quality.

Attention to detail: A keen eye for detail is critical. You must understand that every element in the design process counts, from the smallest visual component to the overall user journey.

Proficiency in design tools: Expertise in software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, and Invision is required for creating and presenting designs that are both innovative and practical.

Creative and analytical problem-solving skills: The ideal candidate will have the ability to approach design challenges both creatively and analytically, ensuring that solutions are both aesthetically pleasing and user-centered.
