3 ways to apply cream foundation
Cream foundation provides medium to high coverage. Due to its relatively good coverage, it is especially useful for concealing wrinkles, crow's feet, and other skin imperfections. You can apply foundation with a brush, makeup sponge, or your fingertips. Make sure to use the correct technique and consider the desired level of coverage.
Sequence 1: Choose a foundation application tool
Step 1: Use a pointed foundation brush for even coverage
A pointed foundation brush is one of the best tools for applying foundation because it helps the foundation spread evenly on the skin. Using a brush to pick up foundation can also help you easily cover areas like eyelids, around the nose, and along the hairline. Take a small amount of foundation onto the brush, then start blending it evenly over your face. Continue until you achieve your desired coverage.

Step 2: Use a makeup sponge for good coverage
A makeup sponge also helps to achieve even foundation coverage. The most commonly used sponge is egg-shaped. You can use the curved part of the sponge to apply foundation to larger areas of your face and the pointed part for smaller areas, such as eyelids and around the lips.
Take a small amount of foundation with the sponge, then dab it to cover all areas of your face. Blend evenly into the skin until you achieve your desired coverage.

Step 3: Use your fingers for better control
If you don't have makeup tools available, you can also use your fingers to apply foundation. Dot a small amount of foundation onto your fingertips and then start applying it to your face. Use your fingertips to blend the foundation evenly over your face until you achieve your desired coverage.

Sequence 2: Use the correct technique
Step 1: Cleanse and moisturize your face
Before applying foundation, remember to thoroughly cleanse your face and apply moisturizer. This helps the foundation apply better and more easily. Follow your regular skincare routine to prepare your skin. You can also apply a thin layer of primer to your face to make your foundation smoother and last longer.

Step 2: Warm a small amount of foundation in your hand
Warming the foundation in the palm of your hand helps it spread more easily onto the skin. Dispense a small amount into the palm of your hand or onto the back of your hand, then use a brush, makeup sponge, or your fingertips to pick up the foundation.
This helps you avoid dipping your fingers directly into the foundation, which prevents bacteria from entering. Instead, pump the foundation or use a clean spatula (included with the product) to dispense a small amount onto the back of your hand.

Step 3: Start blending from the center of the face for even coverage
Dab and blend the foundation from the center of your face outwards to ensure even coverage. Use your tool or fingertips to start applying the foundation.

Step 4: Apply a small amount of foundation along the sides of the nose
Dot foundation onto the sides of your nose, then blend it outwards towards the edges to cover your cheeks. Applying foundation starting from the sides of the nose will help you achieve even coverage for your cheeks.

Step 5: Dot a small amount of foundation on the nose
Next, apply foundation directly to the nose and blend it upwards onto the forehead. Dot a small amount of foundation onto the nose and then blend it up and out towards the edges of the face. Continue until you have evenly covered the entire forehead area.

Step 6: Apply foundation to other areas of the face
Dot a small amount of foundation onto any areas of your face that you haven't yet applied foundation to, such as your chin. Then, start blending the foundation outwards from the center of your face to evenly cover these areas.

Step 7: Blend the foundation evenly
However you apply your foundation, make sure it is thoroughly blended into the skin. Observe the areas where foundation has been applied several times to ensure that it is evenly blended.
Then, check in the mirror for any areas that are not well-covered and start adding a little more foundation to cover them more thoroughly, then blend again. A makeup sponge or your fingers will make it easier for you to blend the foundation.

Sequence 3: Finishing the base
Step 1: Mix with a little moisturizer for a sheer base
If you don't want a thick layer of foundation on your face, try mixing a small amount of foundation with an equal amount of moisturizer. Mix them together and then apply the blended foundation mixture to your face.

Step 2: Apply multiple thin layers to build coverage
If you're unsure how much foundation you need, try applying foundation in multiple layers. Start with a thin layer and then add one or two more layers if the coverage isn't at your desired level.

Step 3: Add more foundation to areas needing extra coverage
You can also apply another thin layer to areas of skin that have already been covered, to target areas that need more coverage. For example, if you have redness, dark circles, or blemishes, you can apply a little more foundation to these areas.

Step 4: Use setting powder for a more matte finish (optional)
Foundation provides medium to high coverage depending on how you apply it, so you may not need setting powder. However, if desired, you can apply a layer of setting powder after you've finished applying your foundation. Use a brush to apply the setting powder to your skin. Setting powder can help to mattify and set your foundation on your skin.
