4 ways to create a cute, natural makeup look

May 23, 2022by Kallos Vietnam

There are many different cute looks you can achieve through the magic of makeup. Knowing which colors, styles, and techniques will highlight your best facial features will help you find the look that suits you best! In general, subtle makeup will accentuate your eyes and cheeks. Focusing on these areas will give your eyes a captivating look, and a touch of blush on your cheeks will help add a youthful glow.

Method 1: Preparing Your Makeup.

Step 1: Cleanse your face and neck.

Use warm water to lather up your chosen face wash, then gently cleanse your face. Apply the cleanser to the areas where you will be applying makeup. Moisturize your skin. Choose a light moisturizer, as products with a heavier or oilier texture can hinder your makeup application.

Step 1: Cleanse your face and neck.

Step 2: Determine the colors and shades that suit your desired look.

Makeup is about highlighting your best features and concealing those you're not happy with. Consider which features you want to emphasize, then determine your skin tone and the colors that might best suit your skin:

Pale skin: Use light colors. For your eyeshadow, a shade about 2-3 times darker than your natural skin tone might be best. Consider using a touch of gold or bronze in the inner corner of your eyes to brighten them, and lightly brush and apply mascara to your lower lashes with a lighter shade than your upper lashes.

Medium skin: You should use light brown eyeshadow and pink or silver on the outer corners of your eyes to make them pop. You can choose a lip balm or lip gloss in a darker shade, like a deep cherry color. When considering blush, apply only a thin layer and skip the eyeliner.

Dark skin: Brown and pink colors can suit you. These colors are great for use on the eyelids, and a dark brown should be used in the crease. Coral or orange lipstick suits dark skin tones. Avoid mascara on your lower lashes and apply a bold blush.

Step 2: Determine the colors and shades that suit your desired look.

Step 3: Gather the necessary cosmetics.

Now that you have some idea of what features you want to highlight (or conceal) and a basic color palette for your makeup, you will likely need: 1/ Makeup sponge. 2/ Blush (optional). 3/ Concealer. 4/ Eyelash curler. 5/ Eyeliner (optional). 6/ Eyeshadow. 7/ Foundation (optional). 8/ Foundation brush (optional). 9/ Lip products (lip balm, lip gloss, lipstick). 10/ Mascara. 11/ Setting powder (optional). 12/ Powder brush.

Step 3: Gather the necessary cosmetics.

Method 2: Makeup for the face.

Step 1: Be careful with unnecessary additions.

Many layers of makeup on your face can make it difficult to focus on your true beautiful features. Beauty experts have long adhered to a rule called Coco Chanel: remove one thing from your look. It's easy to get carried away with heavy makeup and lose your best features when using too many products. Using only essential products will be the right choice if you want a cuter makeup look.

Step 1: Be careful with unnecessary additions.

Step 2: Apply foundation.

If you're unsure about your technique, you might want to take a moment to review how to apply foundation. Gently apply it all over your skin to even out your skin tone. Remember, you only need to use a moderate amount of foundation. Too much foundation can make your makeup look caked and less attractive! The closer the foundation color is to your skin tone, the easier it will be to blend the product with your skin.

Step 2: Apply foundation.

Step 3: Use concealer for problematic skin areas.

Acne and skin problems affect people of all ages, and using concealer over foundation for problematic areas can help you achieve a cuter look and make your skin appear clearer, especially if you have bad blemishes.

Step 3: Use concealer for problematic skin areas.

Step 4: Consider using setting powder.

While not essential, applying a touch of setting powder can help mattify your skin and make your makeup last longer. Lightly apply setting powder where you've used foundation. Setting powder is especially necessary for those with oily skin.

Step 4: Consider using setting powder.

Step 5: Apply blush and bronzer according to your skin type.

Blush is not easy to use, and if you apply too much, the blush will be obvious. Practice by applying blush if you feel confident in your technique. Use only a small amount of blush and blend it onto your cheeks with a brush. Now you are ready to apply bronzer to your cheeks to help give your skin a radiant glow that makes you look adorable.

Try not to contour your face too much. Many people associate a "cute" look with feminine features, less angular. Too much blush or bronzer can make your look go from "cute" to "fierce".

Step 5: Apply blush and bronzer according to your skin type.

Step 6: Blend any liquid powders evenly.

Blend the blush as evenly as possible. Clumping can ruin your look or create uneven color, making your skin look patchy.

Step 6: Blend any liquid powders evenly.

Step 7: Curl your eyelashes.

This is optional and depends on the length of your lashes. To make your lashes curlier, you can warm your eyelash curler for a few minutes beforehand. There's nothing like the innocent charm of curled lashes to add a cute factor to your look!

Step 7: Curl your eyelashes.

Step 8: Highlight your eyelashes.

To do this, you'll need mascara, and finding the right one for you can be a bit tricky. Perhaps a brown or clear mascara would suit you best instead of the classic black. Use a single coat of mascara; you don't want to make your eyelashes clumpy! Wait for the mascara to dry a bit before curling your lashes again.

Step 8: Highlight your eyelashes.

Step 9: Add lip gloss or tinted lip gloss.

Applying a soft and youthful lip gloss will help complete the lovely look you've been aiming for. Lighter colors will give you a more innocent effect.

Step 9: Add lip gloss or tinted lip gloss.

Method 3: Using Eyeliner.

Step 1: Use eyeliner to highlight your eye shape.

Use black, purple, brown, or other cute colors. Start from the inner corner of your upper eyelid, and apply eyeliner along the top of your eyelid where the lash line begins until you have a clear line along the eye contour. Liquid eyeliner can give you a cleaner finish, but it can be more challenging for beginners. Those new to makeup should consider pencil, felt-tip, or gel eyeliners.

Step 1: Use eyeliner to highlight your eye shape.

Step 2: Emphasize your eyeliner.

Depending on your eye shape, you may need to thicken the line. To blend your line evenly to fit the contour of your eyelid, keep the inner part of the line thinner than the rest.

Step 2: Emphasize your eyeliner.

Step 3: Highlight the outer edge and connect the lines.

From the outer end of the line, draw a small 45-degree angle to the end of the new line for the opposite eyelid. Fill in the small triangle you've drawn, being careful not to overfill, and continue on the opposite eyelid.

Step 3: Highlight the outer edge and connect the lines.

Step 4: Finish your inner eye contour.

Lightly blend a bit of black eye primer along your lower eyelid. Remember not to apply too thick a line, as this can create a harsh and fierce look.

Step 4: Finish your inner eye contour.

Method 4: Applying Eyeshadow.

Step 1: Choose eyeshadow.

In case you decide not to use eyeliner, eyeshadow is a great option! Try to use neutral colors; you don't want the contrast to make your look too sharp. Eyeshadow that is the lightest color suitable for your skin tone is a good option to consider.

Step 1: Choose eyeshadow.

Step 2: Apply eyeshadow.

You will need an eyeshadow applicator for this step, and a large eyeshadow brush is the best choice. Use the eyeshadow brush and evenly apply the shadow to each eyelid for the tone that best suits your skin.

Step 2: Apply eyeshadow.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes.

This time, you should choose an eyeshadow color lighter than your skin tone. Using a new blending brush, blend this shade over your lids in the direction of the other colors to create the most natural gradient possible.

Step 3: Apply eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes.

Step 4: Clean up smudged mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow.

Check in the mirror if the eyeliner on both sides of your eyes has the same thickness.

Step 4: Clean up smudged mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow.
