How to apply eyelid tape so it's not noticeable
Eyelid tape is a popular beauty product that helps to enlarge the eyes by defining or creating a fold on the eyelid. Anyone can use eyelid tape, but you'll see the most noticeable results if your eyelids don't have a distinct fold. Using eyelid tape is not difficult, and the best way to apply it is with a double eyelid tool. Additionally, you should be aware of some important considerations outlined in this article to protect your eyes when using eyelid tape and to conceal the tape after application.
Procedure 1: Using eyelid tape
Step 1: Start with a clean face
The most important thing to start with is a clean face, so wash your face thoroughly before applying eyelid tape. This will help ensure the tape adheres better and stays in place all day.
Try using eye makeup remover to remove all makeup before applying the tape. Then, wait about 5 minutes for your skin to be completely dry before applying the eyelid tape.

Step 2: Peel off the tape and trim as needed
Use tweezers or your fingernail to peel the eyelid tape from its backing. These tapes may be sized to fit your eyelids, or you may need to trim them. The tapes should be slightly shorter than the width of your eyelid. Otherwise, the tape may stick out on both sides of your eyelid.
If necessary, trim the tape to be slightly narrower. You can also make your own eyelid tape from double-sided medical tape. To do this, cut the tape into a thin strip that is the same width as your eyelid.

Step 3: Determine where you want to create the new crease
You can use a double eyelid stick to help determine where to place the tape. You should place the tape right along the new crease you want to create. Gently press the double eyelid stick onto your eye to find the new crease you want to create.

Step 4: Close your eyes and apply the eyelid tape to your crease
Once you've found the new crease you want to create, place the tape on that area. Then, gently push the double eyelid stick inward to create the new crease. As you push your eyelid inward, open your eyes and hold for a second. Then, release the double eyelid stick while keeping your eyes open. Apply the eyelid tape to the newly formed crease.

Step 5: Reapply the eyelid tape if the previous one falls off or wrinkles
If the eyelid tape isn't secure, you can start over with a new piece or add a bit of eyelid glue to the tape for a stronger hold. Just apply a small amount of eyelid glue to the tape and wait for it to partially dry and become transparent before gently pressing with the double eyelid stick to push your eyelid back into place.

Procedure 2: Protecting your eyes.
Step 1: Remove the eyelid tape at the end of the day
Do not wear eyelid tape for longer than one day. Remove the eyelid tape at the end of the day along with the rest of your makeup. Never pull or tear the tape; instead, dampen it until it slides off easily.
Tearing the tape can scratch the skin on your eyelid and cause sagging. You can use eye makeup remover or plain water to dampen and remove the tape.

Step 2: Be careful with the eyelid prong
An eyelid clip is an essential tool for applying eyelid tape, but it's important to be cautious when bringing anything close to your eyes. Make sure to only use the eyelid prong on your upper eyelid and press very gently when you do so. If you feel any discomfort while using eyelid tape, remove it from your eyelid immediately.

Step 3: Stop using eyelid tape if it irritates your eyelids
Eyelid tape contains adhesive specially formulated for use on your eyes. However, it can still sting or damage your eyes. If you experience any adverse reactions when using the tapes, remove them and rinse off the adhesive immediately. When purchasing eyelid tape, look for reputable, hypoallergenic brands to reduce the risk of eye irritation.

Procedure 3: How to hide eyelid tape
Step 1: Choose an eyelid tape that is less noticeable on your skin
Eyelid tape comes in several different colors. You can choose clear, skin-toned, or even black eyelid tape to act as eyeshadow or eyeliner. Choose an eyelid tape that you think will match your skin and makeup.
Clear eyelid tape might be your best bet if you don't plan on wearing much makeup. Just be aware that any raised parts of the tape will shine under light.

Step 2: Apply eyeliner or false eyelashes
Emphasizing your eyes can also help to conceal eyelid tape. Try wearing some black liquid eyeliner and false eyelashes to draw attention away from your eyelid tape. Avoid applying too much eyeshadow while wearing eyelid tape, as it can weaken the adhesive.

Step 3: Be honest if someone notices
If someone notices that you are using eyelid tape, it's best to be honest about why you are using it. Don't be ashamed to tell them that you are using eyelid tape to help your eyes look bigger or to create a new crease on your eyelids. People have the right to use various methods to enhance their beauty, and using eyelid tape is not something to be condemned or ashamed of.
For example, using a small strip on your eyelid is nothing compared to going from brown hair to blonde. Using eyelid tape is just another way to accentuate your eyes, much like eyeliner or mascara.
